Summer Style in DC

10 Sep

Image

As we enjoy the final days of summer, we would like to share with you a recent project from our very own Mr. Kyle Jiron. Bringing a unique approach to a historic city, he was able to capture the beauty of Washington D.C. in a way that even residents – who long ago grew acclimated and bored with the monuments – can appreciate. Everyone knows that award shows don’t really mean anything, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying the great (and not-so-great) fashion looks that they bring to the table. This years Golden Globes certainly delivered on both ends of the spectrum. Check out the winners below, in the only category that really mattered: Best Dressed!

Through My Eyes: DEFY Clothing

8 Jan

Over the weekend, we had the pleasure of doing a photoshoot for the DEFY clothing line. Everything went smoothly, except that TLC happened to be shooting an episode at Georgetown Cupcakes at the same time, which prompted a (fake) clash of cameramen. It was all in good fun, and the shots turned out decently… check out a few pictures below, and be sure to look out for the release of this shirt in the DEFY web store.

How Hip-Hop Ruined Polo

22 Oct

The good folks over at Satorially Inclined, one of my favorite fashion blogs, recently did an article on Dipset’s relationship with Ralph Lauren’s notorious clothing line. To sum it up, you can blame The Diplomats for turning a quality brand into a played out trend. Continue reading

What I’m Wearing Today

15 Oct

Bank hooked me up with a bunch of new stuff over the summer, so I’ve been waiting to break it out. It may be hard to tell by the pictures, but I went with a navy blue suit and burgundy hard-bottoms. The stripes on the shirt are apparently purple, but they look more like dark red to me. Either way, I liked the way the burgundy/red/purple hues on my shirt, tie, shoes and belt complemented each other. More details on the briefcase later… Continue reading

What I’m Wearing Today

6 Oct

Living in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia area, I try to avoid shopping for clothes at any mainstream stores, for fear of becoming another clone walking around with a North Face backpack, Gucci belt, American Eagle shirt, Shooters keychain, and Polo boots. However, one well-known store I do shop at is H&M because no matter how popular they get, their huge selection of low-priced, quality items is hard to pass up. Over time, I have collected several pieces from H&M stores, and today I wanted to showcase a few of them.

What I’m Wearing Today

27 Sep

Today’s forecast was supposed to be rainy and pretty cool, so I decided to try out this new jacket I picked up over the weekend. We actually ended up getting a torrential downpour, so me & my highwaters got to laugh at dudes in their Jordans walking through a couple inches of water on the way to class…  Continue reading
