As many have heard, Adam “MCA” Yauch of the Beastie Boys finally lost his 3-year battle with cancer on Friday, May 4th of this year. He was 47. Known for engineering such hits as “Brass Monkey” and “No Sleep Till Brooklyn” with his bandmates , Yauch was a driving force in blurring the color lines that were dividing hip hop from other genres. In the video above, Coldplay pays tribute to the legend by performing a beautiful piano cover of “Fight For Your Right To Party” at their Hollywood Bowl show.
